Devotional Offerings to remember ourselves as wholey
Abdominal Massage: As women or people with wombs our pelvic spaces can often be a microcosm of the rest of our lives- indicating places in our worlds that are in need of tending to. All ancient cultures had practices for women to care for their root, many of which have been lost, stolen or forgotten. Bodywork practices that incorporate pelvic and uterine massage can support women in clearing imprints of past experiences, collective patterning and intergenerational trauma that builds up in this space if left un tended to.
I offer a blend of abdominal techniques that can be helpful in aiding many types of ailments for our abdominal and uterine region. Ive studied abdominal therapy in the Maya tradition with Dr.Rosita Arvigo and the Abdominal Therapy Collective, Dr.Rosita Arvigo has been teaching these ancient techniques for years now with incredible success for clients. Along with traditional Womblifting taught by Homprang a healer from Thailand who began helping her grandmother midwife at 14 and has been immersed in women’s health since. These techniques can be used for
painful menstrual cycles
missing menstrual cycles
fertility
postpartum healing, no matter your birth story
pcos
endometriosis
low back pain
pelvic imbalances
bladder pain or leakage
digestive challenges
overall organ health.
*I do use these techniques on male bodied individuals as well. Aiding in prostate health, digestive health, and lymph flow.
Manual Lymph Drainage: Tending the rivers of the body. This is a very gentle, but extremely powerful hands-on treatment for cleansing the body, specifically the connective tissue. Manual lymph drainage uses a specific amount of pressure (less than 9 ounces per square inch) and rhythmic circular movements to stimulate lymph flow. These benefits have been researched and well documented for over 60 different conditions for people suffering from acute or chronic illnesses as well as for anyone interested in health, wellness and beauty. The lymphatic system helps to maintain lymph fluid levels and functions as a line of defense against infection. MLD is a light massage that helps to move the lymphatic fluid through the lymphatic system at an increased pace which helps with the healing process. MLD has been shown to reduce swelling which can reduce pain and discomfort and it keeps the fluids moving to decrease the chances of scarring or fibrotic tissue (hardening of the tissue). MLD can help reduce the recovery time after plastic surgery as well. MLD treatments may be beneficial for issues related to burns/scars, post-mastectomy, post-hysterectomy, post amputation, pre-surgery preparation, varicose veins and post vein stripping, sprains/strains, rheumatoid arthritis, sinusitis, tinnitus, tension headaches and chronic pain.
Thai Massage: Thai massage is an ancient healing modality focusing on moving stagnation through the energy lines of the body. This practice helps to create deeper relaxation and range of motion in the body. Thai massage is done on the floor wearing loose comfortable clothing. This is a rhythmic practice using specific point holds, passive stretching and light shaking.
Herbal Oil Abhyanga: A luxurious and restful practice of covering the body with herbal oil. Abhyanga has been used for decades in India to keep the body hydrated, mobile, and pain free. The intention is for the herbal infused oil to penetrate the muscles deeply to relieve areas of cold, stagnation or stuckness. This service is also wonderful for the postpartum period. I always welcome new parents to bring their newborn to the appointment if it means they get to take care of themselves. An herbal oil will be chosen to best fit what you're needing at the time of appointment.
Pregnancy & Postpartum Massage: This service is intended to bring deep rest and restoration to your shifting body during pregnancy and after. Depending on how many weeks along you will be positioned side lying and fully supported. I incorporate my abdominal massage techniques to assure optimal space for your baby as it is growing. This then contributes to your optimal comfort.
Pelvic / Yoni Steaming: This is an ancient practice that has been used in many cultures all over the world for reproductive health & healing. Your first appointment will begin going over your needs or concerns with your reproductive health. Followed up by the steam service, where you will be seated over the steam of herbs that best fit your needs. A long dress can be provided and blankets will be draped over your legs during the steam. the 1st appointment will be 90 minutes follow ups, 45 minutes.
